Kenneth Goldin entered the practice of law as a member of the corporate finance group of a major Chicago firm, where he represented underwriters, institutional investors, and corporate issuers on a wide variety of private and public placements of debt and equity securities.
He has represented both large publicly-traded companies and closely-held businesses on a wide variety of real estate, finance, and commercial litigation matters. He concentrates his practice in the formation and ongoing representation of public and private businesses, including REITs, developers, municipalities and financial institutions.
Ken became Of Counsel to RK to provide guidance to a diverse clientele, including banks, retail businesses, energy suppliers, and real estate investors and developers.

Victor began his career as an assistant to former Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, ultimately rising to the position of Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, where he was responsible for implementing the mayor’s agenda in the city council, state legislature, and Congress. After a 10-year career in the public sector, Victor left the mayor’s office to lead the Chicago government practice of an international law firm, and in 2005 established the firm now known as Reyes Kurson, Ltd.
Victor earned his B.A. from Loyola University Chicago and his J.D. from DePaul University.
A native of Mexico, Victor spends his free time with his wife and three children.

John serves as Senior Government Director at The Roosevelt Group building on his background in government and business with over fifteen years in risk management. Daley focuses his government relations work in public-private partnerships, procurement, and issue-based advocacy. He assists The Roosevelt Group in serving clients in highly-regulated industries. Daley previously worked in Washington, D.C., as an assistant to the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight of Government Management.
John later served as a member of Senator Richard J. Durbin’s staff in Chicago. A lifelong entrepreneur, before joining the firm, Daley built an insurance brokerage agency and helped establish a federally licensed non-profit low-power FM radio station, WLPN-LP 105.5fm. He assists clients with lobbying matters before the State of Illinois, and the City of Chicago. John will not work on Cook County clients, where his father, John P. Daley, has served as County Commissioner and Chairman of the County Board Committee on Finance for more than 21 years.

Matt Sanchez extends over 10 years of experience in politics, public affairs and government to the Roosevelt Group team. After earning his B.A. in Politics and Government from Illinois State University, Matt went on to work as Staff Assistant for an Aldermanic office on the Southwest Side of Chicago. Upon leaving the Alderman’s office, Matt continued on and began work at The Roosevelt Group as a lobbyist. As of late, Matt worked on the former Illinois State Representative Jack Franks’ successful run to become the first elected McHenry County Board Chair; and more recently, Matt ran Sam Cunningham’s winning bid to become the City of Waukegan’s first African-American Mayor. In his free time, Matt enjoys giving back as an Associate Board Member of the Saint Anthony Hospital Board, and as a parishioner at Old St. Patrick’s Church in the West Loop. He also enjoys time in the gym where he trains in boxing and kickboxing.

Chad Hoosier is a dedicated professional to the political process in Illinois. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff of External Affairs for Lt. Governor Sheila Simon. During the 2010 primary election, Chad was a catalytic agent in the successful campaign to elect Illinois State Representative Eddie Lee Jackson. Immediately following his work on Jackson’s campaign, Chad became political director for Simon during the 2010 gubernatorial general election. In 2012, former Governor Jim Edgar selected Chad to be one of forty individuals to take part in his inaugural fellowship program, where he was able to further forge relationships with many new members in the legislature. Chad has worked on a number of community coalition building campaigns including the Illinois Kids Campaign, Illinois Transportation Trade Association and Get Covered Illinois. He has garnered excellent working relationships with legislators to ensure that his client’s message, goals and invested interest are communicated and any call-to actions are followed through to completion. Deanne Jaffrey joined The Roosevelt Group in 2013 as a dedicated professional with more than 25 years of professional work experience in the areas of management, operations, client relations and public affairs just to name a few. In her role with The Roosevelt Group, Deanne uses her expertise in relationship management, quality control, community and grassroots outreach, and strategic event planning and execution to provide a necessary foundation for building successful public affairs campaigns. On a personal note, Deanne loves spending time with and being surrounded by her two sons and family. Claudette Miller’s cross-disciplinary practice focuses on counseling clients in highly-regulated industries, particularly gaming and the alcoholic beverage industries, about navigating in administrative, legislative and judicial settings. Claudette advises clients about the authority of governments and agencies under the United States and Illinois Constitutions and federal and state statutes and regulations and represents them in federal and state lower and appellate court cases and in administrative proceedings and before Boards and Commissions regarding same, on topics ranging from the licensing authority of the Illinois Gaming Board and the Illinois Liquor Control Commission, to the constitutionality of state liquor and wine shipping laws, to the authority of local governments to tax and budget. Claudette was asked to testify before the Illinois House Special Investigative Committee regarding a case against then-Governor Blagojevich and certain agencies, where she represented taxpayers in successfully enjoining an unauthorized program.

Jennifer E. Novoselsky handles complex commercial and financial litigation. Jen has experience representing financial institutions, public and private corporations, broker-dealers and high net worth individuals in wide variety of matters, including securities fraud, antitrust litigation involving claims of price-fixing, exclusive dealing, tying, and monopolization, corporate dissolution, breach of fiduciary duties, business torts, contract disputes and directors’ and officers’ liabilities claims. In addition, Jen has extensive experience representing clients in arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association, JAMS and FINRA.
Jen has represented clients in civil proceedings before the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Trade Commission. She also advises clients concerning compliance with federal securities laws and regulations and antitrust laws and regulations.
Before joining RK, Jen practiced in the commercial, competition and securities litigation group of a nationwide law firm. Jen also served as an extern to the Honorable Charles E. Freeman of the Illinois Supreme Court.

Elizabeth Torres received her Paralegal Certificate from Roosevelt University and has spent the last six years honing her skills as a paralegal. She is also a Northern Illinois University alumna with a double Bachelors in Psychology and Sociology with emphasis in Criminology.
Elizabeth supports the RK team handling administrative hearings, public finance, and commercial litigation. Additionally, she is responsible for coordinating with relevant team members in preparing and producing proposal responses and bids to potential clients. She is the primary assistant to partners Jennifer Novoselsky and Lauren Mack, and provides additional assistance to the entire RK litigation team.
In her spare time, Elizabeth loves to read, especially science fiction and fantasy. She enjoys spending time with her family and is an advocate for shelter pets.

Abel Tamez is an assistant and aid to all RK employees. Abel is mainly responsible for RK’s computer and networking infrastructure. Abel provides troubleshooting and technical support for all LAN equipment as well as networking protocols. Abel also facilitates office operations and procedures through reception, the filing system, clerical functions, communications, and organization of RK’s mail process. Abel can frequently be found handling out-of-office duties at the Cook County Circuit Court, Cook County Recorder of Deeds, and City Hall. Abel found his home at RK in June of 2013, and he has been given the opportunity to further explore his passion for information technology and networking while serving the people of Chicago through his contributions to the firm.
Abel graduated with honors from Triton College with a degree in Computer Networking and Telecommunications System in June of 2014. Abel enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team and watching his daughter compete in gymnastics and dance. Abel is an avid cyclist and enjoys taking last-minute weekend road trips with his family.

Ryan Navarra has extensive experience litigating a wide variety of complex civil matters in state and federal courts. Lauren has over 30 years’ experience in financing (tax-exempt, taxable and public-private partnerships), federal tax, non-profit organizations, health care, corporate, and governance matters. She works with clients to provide practical solutions to their real-world problems.

Her representative clients include corporations, municipal entities, commercial lenders, and credit enhancers. On behalf of a hospital, obtained a circuit court order restraining a county board of review from placing an assessed valuation on tax exempt property. The property remains property tax exempt.
Represented Illinois taxpayers against Governor Quinn and other officials in a Cook County lawsuit challenging as unconstitutional much of the legislation comprising Illinois’ FY09 capital budget, including bills that raised liquor taxes, legalized video poker and privatized the lottery, and in the resulting appeals to the Illinois Appellate and Supreme Courts.
Represented a concessionaire at a Chicago airport in obtaining a circuit court order that the agreement with the City of Chicago was a license and not a leasehold and thus not subject to real property taxation.
Represented a school district in declaring an Illinois statute as unconstitutional. The Illinois Supreme Court declared the statute unconstitutional.
Represented continuing care retirement communities, nursing homes, and other large commercial and industrial property owners before county assessment officials, local circuit courts, and Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board in regards to assessed valuation.

Herb began his law career in 1961, and he maintains an active practice today. He still focuses on workers’ compensation matters. During his distinguished career, he served as president of the Illinois State Bar Association and president of Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois, where he helped legal aid foundations secure the means necessary to help people who need representation.
Law is in his blood, and it is a tradition that has continued in his family. All three of his sons, David, Jack, and Eli, have law degrees.
